What we collect

• Your name, email address, phone number and delivery addresses.
• Your orders, returns and reviews.
• Messages you send us through the contact form.
• Payment status from our payment providers (we never see or store your full card number).
• Technical information such as your IP address, used for security and to prevent fraud.
• Website usage information, only if you accept analytics cookies.

How and why we use it

• To take and deliver your orders, handle returns and answer your questions (performance of a contract).
• To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
• To keep the shop secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests).
• To send marketing emails, only if you opted in (consent). You can stop them at any time from your account or the link in each email.

Who we share it with

Only what's needed with: payment providers (Stripe, PayPal), delivery companies, our email and text message providers, and our hosting provider. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for 6 years to meet HMRC requirements. Account details are kept while you have an account. Contact messages are kept for up to 2 years.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Signed-in customers can download their data and ask for their account to be deleted from the Privacy section of their account. Otherwise email info@metro-tech.co.uk. We reply within one month.
